Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Laser surgery: Our clinic utilizes a laser for most surgical procedures.  We feel this decreases the amount of pain your pet experiences, speeds up healing time, and helps control any bleeding during surgery.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Referrals and consults: We maintain excellent working relationships with board- certified radiologists, dermatologists, surgeons, ophthalmologists, and internal medicine specialists.  If your pet needs diagnostics and/or treatment beyond what we can offer here, we are more than happy to work with these specialists to ensure the health of your pet.

Radiology and Ultrasound Services:  Our on-site X-ray and ultrasonography equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Cardiology Services:  For our patients with cardiac disease, we provide on-site electrocardiography and echocardiography through the services of a traveling board-certified radiologist.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.  We have a state-of- the-art digital dental xray machine.  This tool allows to take radiographs of your pet's mouth and teeth during dental procedures so we may determine which teeth are healthy and which have diseased roots.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for blood tests, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  Our staff has undergone training to be equipped to answer your questions about the nutritional needs of your pet.  We can help you choose the correct food to suit your pet's medical needs, weight management program, and stage in life.

Behavioral Counseling:  Our staff can answer questions and provide advice about the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.  We can also provide information about basic training for puppies and kittens.

Boarding:  We provide limited boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

Bathing:  Bathing services are available for pets with dermatological conditions.

Emergency Care:  Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.
